-Use of MapplateTM skins
MapplateTM bridges the gap between functional GIS development and graphic web design. Developing graphically good looking web maps has never been so easy, as the development of skins is left to skin builders.
Whether MapplateTM is being used to embed simple web mapping services in an existing website or is being integrated in a highly customised web based GIS application, the GIS developer can simply choose a skin from the drop down list in the Mapplate Manager, thus changing the graphical representation op a web map within seconds.
MapplateTM 1.0 comes with 4 free skins. During installation of the program, these skins are copied into seperate folders. The user can extend the available skins by making or purchasing additional sets that can be copied in this skin folder.
For a technical description on how to build your own skins, see the Documentation section (Login required).

Skins
Setting a map style, choosing colors, designing buttons, controls and other functional elements, to blend in with an existing web style is not the GIS developer's prime concern.
